Confidentiality and security – Cookies

SEV implements all available measures to ensure the confidentiality and security of data transmitted over the web. For this purpose, the Website uses, in particular, a secure “SSL” (Secure Socket Layer) payment module and a secure payment interface.

When the Customer visits the Website, browsing information may be stored in a file known as a “cookie”. A cookie is a small tracking file. It makes it possible to analyse users’ behaviour when visiting a website, optimise browsing, particularly by identifying the browser used, and identify the user when they connect, in particular to determine which pages they have already viewed on the Website.

Any use of cookies on the Website requires the Customer’s prior express consent, valid for 13 months, which they may change at any time. The Customer is informed that the use of cookies involves the collection of statistical data but does not involve the collection of personal data.

Personal data protection

In accordance with Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, SEV carries out personal data processing for the purpose of performing the Services.

SEV may collect personal data relating to the Customer or to persons acting on the Customer’s behalf. The Customer is informed of the following:

• The person responsible for data processing is Mr Jean DENIAU;
• The purposes of processing are the performance of the Services, the compilation of statistics and the implementation of commercial offers;
• The recipients of personal data are the person responsible for processing, their marketing departments, IT security departments, sales department, commercial partners or subcontractors involved in commercial operations, and any authority legally entitled to access the personal data concerned;
• The Customer is informed that no transfer of personal data outside the European Union is planned;
• Personal data are retained for a period of three years only;
• The data subject has the right to request access to their personal data, its rectification or erasure, or restriction of processing concerning them, and the right to object to processing and to data portability;
• The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés;
• The information requested when ordering is necessary to issue the invoice and perform the Services; without it, the order cannot be validated. No automated decision-making or profiling is carried out through the ordering process.

It is the Customer’s responsibility to take all appropriate measures to protect their own data and software against contamination by any viruses circulating on the Internet. SEV cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage, including any loss or damage that may arise from the use of telecommunications networks.
